depends on water clarity for me.....if its clear water i use more natural colors....green pumpkin, watermellon, pumpkin and so on.....if its muddy ill go to more dark contrasting colors such as black, junebug, and so on till i find out what the fish want

Luke nailed it. I have much better luck with the green pumpkins/browns in clear water. Depending on the manufacturer, some pumpkin colors have a very orange appearance to them, then in the water; they lighten even more. That being said, I've still caught fish with pumpkin.

When in doubt use green pumkin!

I only use about 5 colors of soft plastics anymore so I can spend more time fishing and less time changing baits.

    green pumkin
    black
    white
    smoke
    junebug
    sometimes watermelon?

These cover any situation I have encountered.
