    KNOT problems....

    Sandeigo Jam knot or the Eye crosser knot??????????????

    I'm changing knots, I think I tie the knot and twist the line...need a simple yet strong knot. I have been breaking off a lot while setting the hook very frustrating...what do you guys think??? Please help

    Try a Berkley Braid knot, using only three turns for fluorocarbon, instead of eight like you need for braid. I haven't had a knot failure yet.

    I use an improved clinch knot with both mono and floro, I use seagar too. Never had a problem just wet it with spit when you pull it tight.

    I don't use floro much, but I think the improved clinch is hard to beat with mono.

    I like the San Diego Jam for fluoro, but if you want simple, go with the palomar. It will work for nylon and fluoro if tied correctly and alot of lubrication is used.

    i use the s.d. jam knot on flouro also w/o any problems.i also use a uni-knot which is easy to tie and no problems.
