    1976 75hp Evinrude control/shift problem

    Installed used controls (Evinrude Power Pilot) that fit all connections as the old one. Now reverse is forward and vice-versa. Throttle works fine. Is there a conversion or linkage that I need? The connector extends for throttle, the shift connector contracts when control is pushed forward. Thanks

    When I tried to swap the cables, it only tries to push the throttle the wrong way.
