I've never even heard of anyone ever doing this. What is the reasoning?
"If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them then they (the people)must become happy". Thomas Jefferson "Government is not the solution to our problem. Government is our problem". Ronald Reagan
I've always heard that line should be stored in a cool, dark place. I've never stored it in the freezer but I guess that's about as cool and dark as it comes!

I keep mine in the garage refrigerator. I don't know if it matters or not, but when you spend $70+ on a bulk spool of flourocarbon, you don't want to find out it is bad when you put it on.
so it seems to work ok after being in the freezer? never tried it. la mesa is in the san diego area i beieve. i'm in what they consider the motherlode region, near the ca delta.
I keep all my line in the refrig in the garage.

Heat and sunlight will break the line down which is why they recommend a cool dark place. I keep mine on the shelf in the family room which is in the basement. There are no outside windows and its always cool and with no outside windows it is much darker.![]()
Personally, I prefer not to expose my line to any extreme temps, cold or hot. I keep my line in a drawer in the basement.![]()
