Texas rig with no weight and twitch it kind of like a jerk bait with pauses in between. You can also use them on a carolina rig, shakey head, etc.....
They are a go to bait in my boat.
Texas rig with a 3/16oz tungsten bullet weight....wacky rig/ using various size piece of a finishing nail to determine rate of fall.

2/0 EWG hook, TX rigged, weightless typically. Also on a shakey head. I've caught some really good fish with it on a shakeyhead.
If fishing weightless, I fish it alot like a fluke or senko, but with a few more twitches.
I've not c-rigged it yet, but plan to this year alot. Also plan to TX rigged weighted with 1/8-1/4oz bullet weight.

Texas rig with a tungsten, screw-in bullet weight and 3/0 offset shank worm hook.

I just slowly drag it on the bottom, sometimes just stopping and letting it sit for a few seconds.
-
If the fish are striking short set the hook back further on the worm a bit, until you start hooking them. Setting it back further down the worm can take away a bit of the action, but I have'nt noticed any adverse effects from it. You just have to pay extra attention, so you set the hook the instant you feel something, or see your line move. Otherwise, you greatly increase the odds of gut hooking the fish.![]()
dartman,
I fish a couple of lakes in your area and I use Zoom trick worms alot. I use two colors, green pumpkin and peanut butter & jelly for shakey head fishing (either a Reactions Innovation Screwed Up jig or a Spot Remover jig). I use a glimmer blue worm as a floating worm (texas rigged, weightless), over thick weeds. I've tried the colors I use down south, bubblegum, white, merthiolate, etc. but, I just can't get PA bass to bite them like they do in VA or the Carolinas.
have luck with white at beltsvillewere eles you fish?

I use them as my finesse worm. They float and that keeps them from laying down on the bottom.

Dartman,
I fish Nockamixon most of the year, & Beltzville, after Labor day, and I use the green pumpkin and PB&J worms on shakey heads. Occassionally, in post spawn, I'll throw the glimmer blue as a floating worm on Nockamixon, but I gave up trying the other colors in PA.
we will have to hook up sometime. do you have the boat for nockamixon, or are you like me on the TM

I got tired of running the TM, so I hung a 20 on the back!
We may have met at B'ville, did you get a dark colored Gambler last fall?
Vince Dart- Jim Thorpe PA
dartman,
That's not the Gambler I was thinking of, but I have seen you on the lake.
