    1/4oz Plastic

How heavy is a 3" or 4" Tube? Anyone have a digital scale that have weighted it before? I am looking at Building a rod that is rated for 1/4oz-1/2oz to pitch a "Weightless" Plastic........thinking if my BPS 4" Tube or my Yamamoto 5 3/4" KutTail will be heavy enough to pitch with this new rod.

Anyone know how heavy they are?

man, you're thining way too much! not sure what they weigh, but i would suggest tossing a few around with your current rods and evaluating the action from there. build accordingly.

I have a few Blanks to pick from so can try them out without guides and reeel seat..... I guesss I will be better off buying a digital Scale huh

    Thanks anyways..

As far as pitching the weightless tube.Put a piece of an old worm in it to add weight.I like to pitch lizards weightless to bedding fish.

I've learned that the weight for pitching plastics really doesn't matter (but still needs to be close to the weights specified on the rod). If you will spend some time fine-tuning your flipping/pitching reel, you can pitch/flip almost anything. When I'm using weightless plastics (or plastics with a 1/32 oz. weight) I never put tension on my rod tip, I simply hold the reel and the bait almost chest-level, drop the bait, then raise my rod tip. Well good luck and don't give up!

I've gone to a 6'9"MLXF Avid for my senkos. It fishes alot like my 7' rods, but is just a little lighter. I also use a 100d curado.
