When those things first hit the market I thought I had it made for dropshotting, I mean they look great and fish should just jump on it, esp in SoCal with Gin Clear water.

ERRRR never got bit on them. I do love the Basstrix worms and bluegills!

Re: wacky rigging a basstrix? (zippers)

I've done pretty good on Basstrix minnows at Lake Oroville here in CA. They are just the perfect size to imitate the pond smelt that we have here. My biggest problems with them is the cost and that they aren't durable. I rig them on dropshot and darterheads. On dropshot I can usually get 2-3 fish/bait. On the darterhead, they are usually too torn up after one little spot. I went back to 5-4" Roboworms. With the correct color, I think they look like a pond smelt too and are a little more durable and cheaper. Never tried to wacky rig them but a wacky rigged Robo on a dropshot gets hammered.
