this came up on the clever tip board but I thought it might get more exposure here. What would be the negative of using a drop shot with a jighead for the weight? If its line breaking couldn't you use braid or would it be too visible?

I've done this before, and the problem wasn't the line breaking, but when you hook 2 fish the one on the bottom gets slack from the fish on the top. Also the hooksets are differant depending on witch hook is getting bit.
Yeah, 2 fish at once. Thats my problem all the time![]()

Not a problem for me even with a bottom rig off the pier!
Fish hate me lately...

Sounds like a pretty good idea, but I guess one drawback would be getting hung up more often if you are dropshotting around brushpiles, timber, etc...
