Just wondering if mono/copolymer will appear well enough with black light. I know it won't glow like flourecent lines, but will I still be able to see it good enough?

It's more serious than that!
it still works, but the flourescsnt is the way to go. the light does not travel into the water through the line, if that's your concern. what kind of black light are you using? i want a nucli-eye, but saving to pay cash!! what lakes are you fishing? i miss the so cal lakes!!
Don't have a black light yet. I'm preparing for a night tournament this weekend and was thinking about getting one. Looking at the Nite III's. I'll probably stop by California's first BPS store that's opening out here on Thursday and pick one up. I know some guys will jump in and suggest the Nucli-eye, but I don't fish nights often, and am looking at it from a budgetary standpoint.
I know the light won't travel into the water. I was asking because I just put new line on early last week, and would hate to have to strip it off to replace with flourescent for one tourney. Guess I'll just wind the new line back onto some spools, and then put it back on the reels after fishing the flourescent.
I fish Castaic Lake most of the time, but also go to Casitas, Pyramid, Piru occasionally. I'll be going to Diamond Valley Lake down in Hemet for the T. If there's one lake to come and fish in So Cal, it would be Diamond Valley. It's just super far for me...120 miles one way.
I need to come up there where you are and fish the delta... never been. Would love to get out there for the Triton Boat owner's tourney in Oct. Don't know if I can get the time off though.
Thanks for your response.
