I'm thinking about putting some floro on my crankbait reel. What all do yall use floro with and what sizes?

I use flouro on all my bottom baits in either 15 or 20lb depending on how clear the water is. shakey heads, drop shots and wacky rigs 8lb. early spring when they are first coming up shallow I use 10lb on jerkbaits to get a little better rip through the water. I personally us co-poly on my spinners and mono on my cranks (just for the added stretch to let them inhale the crank a little better).
I use it on all of my soft plasics and jigs. I use mono on my crankbaits for the stretch, because we have always been told that florocarbon has no stretch, but the latest test from Tackle Tour says it has more stretch than most mono, so so much for that. If it truly does have more stretch that mono it sould be great for crankbaits since it sinks.
i use it on everything except top water. i don't think i even own mono any more
Since fluoro sinks almost like wire I don't use it where sinking line would tangle in wood cover or rocky structure. If the lake bottom is clean and I'm C-rigging it works best, keeps the rig moving along bottom better instead of jumping up like mono does. Anytime I want a lure to remain swimming deep and fairly fast I'll use fluoro or hybrid. Mono doesn't finish sinking (unless water logged) so keeps a major high bow in the line down to the bait unless deadsticking and giving it time to straighten out. It tends to pull a bait upwards as it swims. Fluoro remains straighter or maybe slightly bowed down, giving a bait the best chance to swim at it's rated depth (based on 10# and a long enough cast).
I reserve it mostly for ultra clear water where line visibility might be an issue. In generally clear water (that way most of the year) I use Yo-Zuri Hybrid fluoro coated line in whatever color best matches the water and cover, clear, smoke or green. It sinks somewhere between what fluoro and mono does and is sensitive like fluoro, but tough like mono. As the water darkens I return to braid with a fluoro or hybrid leader, and over really dark slop covered water, all braid for shallow water and at night.

I'm using it mainly for TX rigs at the moment. I'm probably going to put it on my C-rig rod also. I love it for TX rig. I may try it on crankbaits, not sure.

OK
Jigs, Texas Rig, Carolina Rig, Jerkbait, Crank Bait, Spinnerbait, oh pretty much everything but topwater and occasionaly I will use mono on my jerkbait depending on season (winter mono)
On my spinning reels I use Copolymer Lines or "Fluro-Coated" lines.![]()
BPS XPS fluorocarbon (20#) on my Carolina Rig/ P-line Fluoroclear (12# and 15#) on everything else. Stren fluorocarbon used to be the best but they dont make it any longer. XPS is the closest thing to it.IMO![]()
