BC w/mono line

I recently switched the line on my BC from braided to mono, however I am not having problems. I find that now when I cast, the line gets loose coils on the reel. It does not backlash, however I do have to pull some line out to get the loose line out and then reel it back in tight. If I don't pull the line out, the next cast is sure to backlash. Can anyone help me out with this, what causes this to happen and is there a cure? I am tempted to put braided back on all my BC and just use mono on my spinning reels. Thanks in advance.

I preferr the castability to mono over braid. What lb test line are you using?

I put some 10 test on the reels.

Add just a touch more thumb at the end of the cast or tighten the cast control knob a hair, depending of if it flugffing at the start or the end of the cast.

12 is the lightest thing I throw on BC's, I preferr 14.

thats what i was gonna say.. put more thumb on the roll towared the end of the casting. (right before it hits water) i stop my cast with my thumb. i add pressure as soon as it gets close to the water... i am switching from mono to braided this year.. any tips on the braided?? lol it has 30lb power pro on it but i havent casted it yet... any real changes between casting mono and braided??
