    Re: Only one (goose)

Definately a spinnerbait. 1/2 oz white with white blades

I know that perhaps a plastic worm or jig will get more bites sometimes, especially when no wind is blowing, but they are also very hard to cover water with and find active fish.

Spinnerbaits can be worked fast, slow, shallow, deep year round and they tend to only catch larger average sized fish

Besides it is my "Go To" bait

It depends on the time of year but a Texas-rigged 7" Pumpkinseed Berkley Power Worm is pretty hard to beat for day in and day out consistancy!

    Re: Only one (ctepps)

If I could only have 1 bait and I had to have some fish for food or weigh in, I would fish a 5" smoke yamamoto single tail grub on a 3/16oz jighead. It will catch anything that swims. 5" is long enougy and bulky enough that it will move water in dirty water and still look like a shad in clear water. Plus you can always bite the head off if you need a shorter bait or if you just crave something salty to chew on.

If I am just fishing for fun, on my favorite lake it would be a 3/8oz brown rubber jig with a 5" watermelon/red yamamoto twin tail.

    Sorry, just couldn't pick one.
