    A little help you guys a ??

I hear you guys talk alot about fluorocarbon line, Mono, braid, vanish line etc.. Could you please go over why and when you would use each different line..The advantages and disadvantages of each. I am a novice fisherwoman and use only mono for everything, bait caster, spinning reel..etc and I use it for every lure I throw..I know this is probably not the best idea Just could someone explain it to me alittle... THANKS ALOT

I only use mono..except on spinning rig for dropshot 8# fireline(no need to retie braid and it has no stretch so ya feel a fish breath on it) and Bitcasting worms/jigs in heavy grass/mats and frogs/rats!these I use braid 30#-65#!when the grass/mats are thick you need it so incase they go under before ya get it on top the braid acts like a saw going through the mats
I only use floro on senko's/trickworms weightless!it gives it a funny rate of fall and is easier for me to cast when weightless!floro was useless for me on spinning rigs

Mono for topwater, braid for fliping docks, and mainline on a c-rig. Floro for every thing else.

I use mono for almost everything except carolina rigs and fishing in heavy weeds as HR mentioned. On carolina rigs I use 30 lb powerpro braid with a fluorcarbon leader. In heavy grass 30 lb (or more) powerpro braid. Fluorcarbon to me seems extremely brittle. i tried fluoro texas rigging etc. It seemed to be more abrasion resistant but was stiff. If it gets any kinks etc it weakens it really bad. I've only tried a few brands but wasnt too happy with any of them. Hope this helps ya a bit
