    Hair Jigs

Anyone have any success with these? Want to try them this summer on my home lakes, think that since not many people use em, bass might just like em. Do you fish them just like a normal jig? I know you fish em on lighter line and spinning tackle, but, do you fish em the same?

    Thanks,

I think you swim them really high in the water column and make them look like minnows and bait fish... I've got some, but I've never used them.
However, I remember in the bassmaster classic that Jay Yelas won, Aaron Martens was tossing one and slaying the fish.... but the fish wouldn't stay pegged.

Cool, I will have to try that, so just crawling them along the bottom wouldn't be too good? Are they not meant to represent crawdads?

Way back when that's the only jig style available, making my own using buck tail hairs. You fish them like most modern jigs high or low, doesn't matter. White hair jigs are white bass killers, and accounted for lifetimes of limits for many of us. I like to keep them paintless, making the lead shine.

I have a lot of success with Punisher Jigs...the smallies seem to like them quiet well ...Black/blue and dark green are the colors I primarily use. Highly recommend these jigs
