My Tuesday Morning

So I have to fly out today to Houston to spend the week at our warehouse there.. Needless to say not excited about this trip given the time of year.. Any way while sitting on the runway in Norfolk they shut the engines down on the airplane telling us that there is a SHIP blocking the runway here in Philly.. I am not at all sure how this happens other than you cross a river coming into the airport and possibly this ship was in the flight path.. Any way when we got here finally I had missed my connection (especially upsetting given that I had been upgraded to first class for the first time in forever from Philly to Houston) Any way they proceed to tell me that They took the liberty to book me on the next flight to Charlotte and that I would connect in Charlotte to go to Houston.. I proceeded to tell them that I disagree with this and that I was not going through Charlotte.. Any way after getting my name flagged in their system and talking to SEVERAL people I FINALLY got someone to put me on the next direct flight to Houston.. I told the lady that finally took care of me that I thought for sure that I was going to end up like Adam Sandler in the movie Anger Management!!
Let’s hope that my return trip is much less eventful on Christmas Eve!!
