Was down at Arrowhead Beach on Chowan today in Edenton...friend has a waterfront home there....saw a dead racoon perch,saw a carp about 3 ft long dying at shore, a dying eel, dying catfish, and oddly there were dozens of crab at the shoreline...kids could not swim there were so many...I picked up one and it was sluggish and the shell was very soft...saw alot of debris floating in water and the color was very stained looking...smelled bad up in one of the canals at a boat ramp where we loaded....

There are many sunfish, carp, shad, and catfish dead in the meherrin and hundreds of bass struggling at the surface to survive I did move several into a pond today in hopes they would survive and plan on going back for the next couple of days to save as many as possible. I was able to transport several over 3lbs already today as well as a few 5lbers, sadly i saw 2 fish in the 8lb range and was unable to get them. It doesn't look promising

I fished the Perquimins this weekend. The upper end of the river past the RR trestle smelled very bad. I did not stay there very long. Saw a couple dead fish up there. Went into Suttons and the water was nasty. There was so much junk in the water it clogged my water intakes. I did catch fish out on the main river but the fishing was a little slow.
Yeah I fished it today, up past RR trussell smelled awful didn't see any floaters. Caught a few fish on main river but nothing to jump up and down about. Thanks for the other replies.
