Medically Retired and seeking employment ***VETERANS PREFERENCE***

Just move back to Maryland after being medically retired from the Air Force, Looking for work. Does anyone know someone that knows someone to get a job (lol) Looking for work ASAP. Preferably Government job. But they seem hard to come by. I can send resume and DD 214 if needed. Thanks for the assistance!

Jermaine, you don't mention why you were medically retired. If you're eligible for the Wounded Warrior Progrm then you need to apply for a gov't job at usajobs.gov and CHART.

I was not granted the Wounded Warrior Program, I was medically retired due to a pacemaker and sleep apnea. I have been applying at USAJOBS.com with my DD214 but have not heard anything back yet. I have been told USAJOBS usually takes months to get a response back let alone get hired.

It's bad to have no job to come back to when you're out of the service.
A "thank you" for the time you served.

Ive had apnea (CPAP machine) for years and still active duty. I assume its because of your pacemaker. I'm going to send you some links that you should take a look at. Your VA rating will qualify you for Vocational rehab tuition.
