My model E250DHLSEF. My serial 05260586. 3/2009. on 201 evo with hydro plate.
I recieved it 4/4/2009.
Motor will not plane two people, livewells full with a raker II set at jackkplate running height. I have a Hydro so i can Raise the motor all the way up and then start dropping it as it falls over in 20 seconds and runs 72-73 with little midrange accerlation.
Ihave ridden in other exact rigs that get up in 4-6 seconds and run 77-80.
I have made alot of posts concerning this motor on this as well the stratos forum.
I have been to two dealers, changed lower unit,plugs , compared hulls, tried lots of props recomended on the board by other 201 evo owners
Last dealer sold 24fury that would plane off in 8-10 seconds and run 70-71 but at wot will sometimes set off the knock sensor and shut the motor down so i had to take that prop off.
I use 3/4 of gal oil to 25 gals of gas. I marked tank and measured gas several times. Not a guess.
I hit bilge every time before i take off.
motor has done this since day one.
I am in NC but have driven to TN. I am more than willing to drive anywhere and pay whatever to get this resovled. I am thinking about driving it back to the factory and let stratos drive it.
BRP and Stratos both have recieved dealer calls concering thiis rig.
I am wits end. Another HO evo owner (blue steel) saw this rig and could not believe it.
I have heard of similar problems with HO's on other boats(phoenix, bass cat)so i dont think this is an evo,hull problem.
Tell me what to do. It is rather embarrissing on the tour trails i fish.(FLW OUTDOORS.ie. FLW SERIES, STREN, BFL local team trails etc)
