I havent fished it since yesterday. For me, the better quality is closer to the dam vice the James. I'm gonna fish a couple of my favorite creeks on the James in a few days (Grays, Chippokes, Flowerdew, etc).
Chick sucksDamn jetskiers(water rats) and wakeboarders and tubers, make it suck. Noticed last week I only got bit when the water was calm. Any wakes they seem to shut off. I saw a jetski ride between a guy and the pads. The guy had just stopped and the guy got on the back deck to cast and here he comes right by them. He almost got me until he saw my hands on my hip. Find a creek and stay there all day. Watch out for the boats running 4 wide with jets following jumping wakes.....
