Dealer told me 437.00, is this normal?

I'm gonna change primer bulb, pulse valve, and clean fuel filter first. Anti-siphon valve is already removed, fuel lines from engine to tank are new and tight.
I'm just hoping I don't have to buy that thing.

Anyone have a used one?

The MSRP for the pump alone is $398 but you can order one from boats.net for $349.24. They were offering free shipping for anything over $100 last week. The price quote you received sounds fair to me if it includes installation.

Hopefully the gurus will be around later to give you better info. Someone may be able to help you determine the problem if you will provide a description of the issue your having. Is it bogging down at take off, missing at WOT or ... ? Hope this helps.

price sounds a little better.

It will jump on plane, run a little ways then lose fuel prime. Pump up bulb, run a little ways then do the same thing. Runs fine at idle. It will, intermittently run on plane for a good ways with a little miss from time to time.

Any one else got any other suggestions or have a Fuel pump laying around they want to get rid of?

There are rebuild kits available for that pump.

I was told there was no longer a kit available for these fuel pumps. If you know can hook me up with a place to buy a kit. That would be my favorite option.

I don't know if mine will work on yours. It came off a 1998 150 evinrude. Some of the gurus on here might be able to tell you.
