i have a 360v ranger, i feel comfortable in rivers, is this boat considered too small for bigger lakes, such as anna, buggs, and gaston? just trying to figure out, do i need to go out and buy a 21ft to fish bigger lakes?![]()

You're fine with what you have unless you just have an itch to go out and buy a new boat. If so I'm all for it.![]()

Sounds like you need someone to give you a reason to buy a new boat!
So, it's way to small, a 6" ripple will cause you to swamp out. You need at least a 21fter!!!!![]()

Man don't listen to them two guys, they just won the lottery last week. Your boat is fine unless your going out in the Atlantic. Plenty of boats your size or smaller fishing those lakes. But beware if the wind is kicking 25-30 knots might not want to venture to far out just to be safe. You should be good to go though.
appreciate the responses, and look forward to meeting you'll on the water one day!
I have to agree with the majority here, your boat is big enough to fish all the lakes you mentioned in all the but the worst conditions. If size alone is your sole reason for looking for a larger boat, it may not warrant it. Now there are a lot of other features, comforts, advancements, etc. in newer boats that could add up and cause you to take a serious look at a new or newer boat. You just need to look at all of them and decide if it's the right way for you to move.
The 360v is a fine boat, but like Greg said, the newer boats have all the latest technology...making for a lot better ride, especially in rough water.![]()

I agree. I had an 88 320v. (16' Boat) I fished Lake Champlain and Ontario. Aside from a few airborne rides it was fine. Ranger makes a great hull for blasting in the rough stuff.
