    Crankbait painting

    Anyone have recommendations on a crankbait painting "kit"? Or what I should buy separatlely to get me started on custom crank painting? Also, where to buy.

    Check over on the Tackle making section. Those guys know alot for getting started and best sites to visit/buy. Try a search on the board too.

    To start will need a compressor, and an airbrush and some paints. I had a compressor already, picked up an inexpensive airbrush, Galaxy GX-207, and a bunch of createx paints (available at Michael's). Main thing I would stress is it takes practice, practice, practice. I feel I am just now starting to get pretty good at it and I started two years ago. Oh another thing try and get a gravity feed airbrush. The siphon feed ones are a pain as you have to shoot to high a pressure.

    Thanks guys. I ordered a BADGER 350-4 AIR BRUSH SET along with assorted paints and a dvd on how to paint crankbaits.
