    Last weeks fishing report

Fished Wens, had 11 off of C-Rig, never threw topwater but saw fish chasing bait right on the bank. Water temp 56 degrees. Thurs started right away with a Rico, caught them on topwater all day, rain and sleet part of the day but it didn't matter to the fish. Missed one fish, boated 29. Friday high pressure set in, Sterling and I struggled to catch 3 fish. James Harner had 11 I believe. Sat was nasty, wind and rain but they was chomping topwater again for about 3 hrs. Madbass has a nice blowup on his first cast.Weather got bad so we went back to C-rigging and just killed them. Water had warmed to 60 degrees.

One a side note, I think I saw my Blue Heron buddie again on Sat, he looked cold

Great meeting up Mike. I really appreciated the opprtunity, and the chance to fish with you and Sterling. Mike proved that fish do not bite the same way on that lake 2 days in row(cold or hot side) . I love fishing fast power fishing as much as anyone, but gave up on it about an hour into it and went finesse fiahing with a shakey head. My 11 were nothing to brag about...ranged from 1oz to 2-1/2lbs. Not great but better than sitting at home waiting for the ice to thaw!

Got out early this morning for a few hours and caught about 15 on flukes and pointers. Biggest was just under 3 pounds. Hardly caught any under two pounds tho. Broke one off at the boat that was over 4 pounds but such is life. Decent for less then 3 hours of fishing.
