    sleeping in!

First time in many, many years I will not be hunting the first day of black powder. Did not bow hunt this year either. Just don't have the bug? Not sure why. Good luck to those hitting the woods in the morning. Be safe!

    Amen to that !

I had a duck hunter shoot down on me and my nephew 2 yrs ago down in florida. No way he didn't see us, but I heard and felt the pellets hit us and the boat. I told my nephew had he not been there in the boat with me, I would not have 'just left'.

Wish I coulda slept in. I had to work today. Stood in the garage at daybreak this morning drinking coffee and watching all the deer move towards my favorite stand.

OK I lied..I went and heard one moving in the cutover. Took my favorite call out to lightly grunt at the deer and NOTHING , sooo I tried it over and over NOTHING, SOOOOOO I said let me hit the call hard and as soon as I did another deer standing 60yds out TOOK off like a scalded dog. I said well DAMN ...Well there goes my opening day . Felt good to be back in the tree though..
