Got a friend looking at a used boat with a 1998 Evinrude 175. I've only had Mercury's so I told him I'd post on here and get some opinions. The only thing I know about Evinrude is to stay away from FICHT motors. I don't think this one is a FICHT but won't know for sure until we go see it.
For a 98 if it's not a FICHT does that mean that it will be a carb motor, or did they make an EFI version?
