    Ficht 2000 200hp RPM's with full boat

    Hi,
I was out yesterday with a (very) full boatload of friends. I noticed that I had a hard time getting up on plane as expected with the added weight, but my RPM's wouldn't go much past 4000 (normally can get to 5000+ no problem at full throttle). Is this normal for a heavy load? I haven't had any problems to date with this motor.
If this is normal, what would cause this? I would expect the motor to get to full RPM but just have more slip due to the extra weight.

    Thanks.

If the boat is overloaded and can't fully plane it is plowing water and is normal. Lighten the load and give her a whirl again.

Your normal operating RPM should be 5500, you are already starting out too low.
