I went next door here at work to congratulate Allan this morning, had to wait in line for the ESPN and BASSMaster reporters to finish up their interviews! He showed me the plaque he was awarded, told me for $5 he'd have someone take my picture standing next to it.
Actually Allan spilled the beans and told me how he and his partner figured them out, how he caught them, and what he was using. Really appreciate the insight Allan, and again, congratulations!

He did mention a couple of weeks ago that he's been doing real well with the plastics you gave him. Sounds like a check is in order!!!
Thank you guys very much.... The boss would not let me off work Thursday so I was a little hot, got to go up Friday and me and my partner only caught 7 fish and two of them were keepers. At the pairings I got paired up with a super nice guy named Jimmy Rorrer jr "the preacher" from Smith Mountain area him and his partner had shook off many-many -many limits of fish during practice so we went to his spots (had to trust him as he is a preacher) and started catching fish on a spinnerbait, they would not bite a fluke(as that is how they were finding them in practice). Caught 2 ea 3lb fish on a buzzbait in the middle of the day that culled 2 smaller fish and really helped to get me into 3'rd on the first day with a little over 11 lbs.
2'nd day the bite was slower still pounded on them as long as we could with spinnerbaits and then around 11:00 switched to brushogs that allowed both of us to cull.....the kicker fish came on a spinnerbait on a bushy no nothing windy bank at 1:45 in the afternoon and that was the big fish for the 2'nd day at 4.6 lbs for a 2 day total of 21.7 lbs...Thank you preacher Jimmy and his region partner Wayne for not sticking those fish on Friday!!!

Fishing was pretty tough. I finished 10th and had day 1 and over all big fish (5.98 lbs). Not bad considering I didn't even want to go.
Good to see you back around here Bobby. That was a nice fish for sure.
