Here's a call you never want to get

I'm at work tonight and my cell phone rings, it's my mom calling.......

Mom: "Joyce, this is mom, the neighbor just called and said there's a
<U> SKUNK </U>at the fence and she just saw him spray Jacky
(my hound doggie) in the face!!!!"

Joyce: " - - - - me, where's Jacky?"

Mom: "He's in the house, the skunk must've got him because his
rubbing his face in all over the dining room rug..."

Joyce: " STOP HIM!!!! I'm on the way home....!!!!!!!"

As soon as I pulled in to the yard I knew it was a dang skunk for sure! Grabbed my flashlight and weapon and checked yard...little scoundrel was gone..

Got ole Jackinator right between the eyes!!! Hardest place to wash... His little eyebrows even smell!!!

House reeks....dog reeks....tossed out dining room rug on back deck. Every rug in between dining room and back door is in the wash now..

Dog in tub with dawn, mouth wash and everything else I had in the house. Baking soda with peroxide & dishing washing liquid mixture etc...

I told him to close his eyes so I could scrub between his eyes and on top of his nose....Poor dog was standing there in the tub with his eyes closed, his nose and forehead all red and raw looking...

He's lying here next to me now, nose still smells a little but not as bad as it was...I'll be up til the middle of the night washing rugs...

not at all, he was right back out late last night after the "odor" was gone outside...I wanted him to "air out" after his bath!
