    anybody ever fish the ABA??

thought about joining the aba and fishing the va 102 division to gain experience and see new water. i cant find a partner to fish any team trails so i thought this looked good as i can fish by myself. i was just wondering your thoughts about this division.

i would probably be a non boater on gaston and kerr and be a boater on smith and phillpott, since i have never seen gaston or kerr.

thanks in advance for your advice

Sean, Mike Allen will be along in a bit to give you his experiences with the ABA. Mike qualified for and fished in the ABA National Championship last year.

I fished that district years ago, it is a good trail, well was then, sure it still is now. Never cared much for Philpott though, lol

District 102 has been going for about 6 years now and Elvin does a good job with it. The good thing with ABA is that there are so many tournaments nationwide. If you ever want to fish district 13 just give me a call as I am an assistant with them.

I used to fish the MBA years ago.It is a good trail but the paybacks are not very good. They hold back a lot of the money to go to the championship which could be a long way off.

Sean - You may also want to look at D11 in ABA too. All the tournaments are on the Potomac. It is the Maryland Division. A few of our anglers live in WV. The ABA is a good weekend trail.
