Re: 115 H.O. (dell60_9)
Hi, we have fitted a few 130HP E-TEC (same as the HO) and they offer better perfromance especially in the mid range and allow you to turn a higher pitched prop for better top speed and still have similar acceration. Go to http://www.evinrude.com and look at the performance reports, BRP have done tests on the same Stratos hull between the STD and HO- how does 7.5 more MPH and better MPG sound-pretty good in my book and there is not a stonger 115HP on the market than the "HO".
Cheers,
Huey.

Re: 115 H.O. (Huey)
Thanks for the reply Huey. Looked at the evinrude site and noticed that they were spinning two different sized props in the tests a 18" on the std 115 and a 20" on the H.O. I'm currently spinning a 20" raker on my std 115 which is married to a sx170 skeeter and am just wondering if the H.O. would give me anymore top end speed.
cheers

Re: 115 H.O. (dell60_9)
They are most likely V6 LU on a long shaft, my standard 115 E-tec 25" turns a Hill Marine 5 blade 14.25 X 15 quiet happy, mind you its a heavy tin dish and its plenty fast enough for me.

Hi, yes on your hull with a HO you would be able to turn the next size up Raker and still be in the sweet spot-that is what these performance reports highlight and the L/S run the S2 type V4 box. The X/L, which would not suit your Skeeter run the O type V6 box. All else being equal you should see about 5 MPH better top speed if you swapped the engine out for the HO and ran a 22 inch Raker.
Cheers,
Huey.
