    Leading after day 1..

    I am leading the field after todays TX with 11+, 2nd pl. has 9.8, and 3rd has 9.5.. I hope to wax them on the Nott tomorrow, had decent day prefishing, so I hope that the lead will not slip away. Wish me luck... Today was a crankbait day for me. Culling 12-13in. bass when they turned on the switch. If it wasn't a Tx I would still be there. One broke me off that would of easily been big fish for the day. Oh yeah we were at Diascund Resv. (Toano)....Tomorrow will be at the Nottaway(weigh-in at 4pm)...

    Nitro Dan saw you up at the munkey yesterday was going to stop after our club to BS with y'all but found one of my trailer leaf springs snapped. Had to take it slow and easy getting home so just left since I knew the ride was going take awhile. How did you make out up there? I was on fish all day. Ended up with 4 for 7 pound big fish 3.12. Lost two others over 3 but really did not care, it was our last t for the year and I went in leading AOY by enough points that once I caught one fish I mathematically eliminated anyone from catching me so after that first fish everything else was gravy.
    Mike how did you make out today?

    Well after a good/bad day fishing I ended up in 2nd pl...The guys that won went to the Chowan and I stayed in the Nottaway. They had 16+lbs and I only had 8.91ish so there went the 2lb lead I had on them. Still not to bad for someone fishing by themselves. I wish I could of won it. No one has ever one the classic fishing alone, so I guess that record will not be broke..
