You can still launch at Rudds with no problem. The water is right around 295, maybe an inch or two less depending on the time of day. The water is getting might skinny in a lot of places, but it's a long ways from being at 290. Not too many around here have ever seen it that low.

    Re: Buggs reports???? (BassCatnVa)

I fished a tournament Saturday and had the best day I have ever had on Buggs numbers wise. It was perfect, over cast, just a misty drizzle of a rain. I caught 30+ before noon. They were all very small. I caught a couple around 5 between 14-16 the rest were under 11". Everyone was catching small fish. 11lbs won 2nd was 10 I was third at 9.11. The two first place teams had a 4lb fish. The water is low but is pretty well maked. Oh I almost forgot, buzzbait, crankbait and zeroed on plastic. I had one bite on plastic.

    Re: Buggs reports???? (Sterling)

Awsome Sterling!!! Great report. I think I have seen it about 296, so I guess it is not quite as bad I thought. Hopefully the water and the bite holds on until Nov 1st....looking forward to seeing everyone again then!

Thanks for all the info Ronnie, most importantly I want to be safe and the level was a concern, but you all have put me at ease! We will not be there until Nov 1st, our group will certainly be posting up some reports from the day...thanks again!

We fished out of Hibernia on 26th and 27th and had no problems with the ramp.

    Re: Buggs reports???? (dk239)

I know Satterwhite was closed because they moved our BFL to Flemingtown. The other ramp i thought was Hibernia but it is the ramp in dodson creek on the left side going in that was closed. I saw orange barrels across the ramp .

    Re: Buggs reports???? (BassCatnVa)

Satterwhite Marina may well be closed, it's not a Corp ramp is relatively shallow compared to the USACOE ramps. The elevation at the bottow of Satterwhite Marina's ramp is 294' which is where the water level is now.

The ramps in Dodson Creek are part of Henderson State Park, and the shallowest of the ramps there should not close until the water is at 290', so if one of them was closed, it was probably for maintenance or the like, but it should not have to have been closed because of the water level.

Here are the elevations for all ramps on the lake.
