    WTF - Help Please

I have a 86 Ranger with 86 Evinrude xp150. My first boat and still a newbie
Motor recently tune and decarbed by shop. Motor runs great on muffs. fires quick and pees good. On lake motor pees good but don't have PSI gauge to measure

Gone to lake twice boat will run a while but won't crank back up. Starter will spin then kick out. If boat does fire won't idle and runs rough. Been towed to shore twice. Replaced starter runs on muffs fine ran it about 20 minutes killed it and started it back 5 = 6 times not problem.

Mechanic said carbs dirty just put in seaform and run her to clean out. Well same problem ran her 30-35mph around lake for 20-30 minutes then she just died in middle of lake. Waited 30 minutes and started back up went slow to dock and she would not start back

Went home and ran boat on muffs looked at carbs did not see fuel leaking or puddleing. I fear shop will rebuild carbs run in tank and everything will check out then have the same problem at the lake

    Anyone know the answer

if the mech said the carbs are dirty and told you to throw seafoam at it i would look for a new mech. clogged carb jets can cause a meltdown just remember if 1 cyl. isnt getting any gas it aint getting any oil either ... im not i technician but work on my own stuff... seafoam is a great product but it will not rebuild carbs heck ive had to chisel crud out of carbs after letting them sit in it overnight you need to see them and visually inspect the jets and orifices

you need to post your model and serial number to your motor it gives the pros around here knowledge of what model you have

are you getting any alarms and does your alarm work

is your choke primer valve in the closed position
