    Timing ? for Elgin

I got the idle thing on the 175 Intruder figured out, thanks for your help on that, now I need to check-set the timing on this E175GLEIS motor. I think it is a 60*
set up but not sure. The top of the motor says to set at 20* BTC. If you could kind of walk me thru it, I think I can do it. Thanks. gegolden

I would suggest you have a dealer perform this procedure with the box that performs this adjustment with the engine off.

I spoke with Anchor Marine in San Antonio Texas about that and the charge was around $100 + tax. I was thinking that it would be done with the motor running like I have done a 100 times on a V8 auto engine. Guess I will just have to pay it!

$100 dollars is cheap compared to a bad experience, only takes one.
