have more than just "Good morning" topics around here? How about something related to fishing? Like, what are the fish doing in the rivers this time of year? Some report that the spawn is well under way, even though no one seems to see any fish with raw tails. What do these fish do after the spawn? Since I moved here I've found it to be amazing to find fish in 2' of water during the summer when the water temps are in the 90's. What's the real story on this 8' zone?

I really wish I could answer some of your questions. The rivers really stump me this time of year (scratch that...any time of year).

Amen times two. Been trying to figure out these river systems for years. I guess you have to basically live on the river to find the quality bass on "certain shorelines and points etc.". Very frustrating to keep donating money to tx catching the same dinks and small keepers.

What I've been told is all the rivers are wind driven, when the water is high bass move up and back into creeks

When water is low bass move out to points and drop offs.

I'm ready to pay a guide to take me out and find some fish.

I agree Levi, I've seriously considered hiring a guide just to give me the mentality, not the specific spots!

Just go fishing and find out what is going on you don't need to fish a TX every weekend...Spend some time on the river and look it over..it take time to find out what is working....That is just me...Sorry

No, I agree with you too Woody! Only getting on the water on tx day leaves a heck of a lot to being lost.

I do that already, and try different techniques deep, shallow, different water columns, different baits, different presentions. I just keep chunkin and lookin till I get some good bites then I try and repeat the same conditions on another part of the river. Just need more gas and time to figure it out I guess.

Those that have figured out what is going on just keep it to themself that is why I just stuck with the club TX that way you can find out what the others did that day to get there fish it dose help...

IMHO something often overlooked is the difference between lakes and rivers ....

Lake fishing is pattern fishing ..... run and reapeat run and repeat.

River fishing is spot fishing ..... dump the box in good areas.

Seriously...one on one I will help someone as much as I can. To just give out reports on the internet with specifics can and has lead to problems. When Im in tournament mode, I spend a lot of time and money on the water...why should I give out that info for free to people who will turn around and use it against you...during a tournament?
