200 GT
The last month or so I had problems with the motor not wanting to take full throttle all the time. It looses about 1000 rpm's and about 12mph. Have also been running down lake when it suddenly breaks loose and takeoff and seemed to be fine. Also has been a little had to start. 1991 motor new powerhead in 1995 200 GT Johnson. Have any ideas what this could be?

Re: 200 GT (bass14)
Heat and humidity take their tolls on carbed motors this time of year and the E-10 fuel doesn't help matters either. Try a jump up to 89 octane next time you fuel up.

Thanks; Always use 89 and seafoam. Seems like if I prime to much, of choice it is hard to start and my problem is worse. Could this be a float problem?

You stated new power head in 2005 did you get a newly rebuild 1991 head or a rebuilt 1995 head big difference in blocks.

Could be an ignition problem.
