    BIG TIME LIFE CHANGE

As many know my kids are living in SC with my ex-wife, there Mother, for almost 3 years now. I have and always will be active and involved in their lives even from a distance with me living here in VA. Last week I get a call from my ex-wife saying she can no longer deal with our 5 year old son. She did not and has not given up on him but at this time we feel he needs is Father more than his Mother. So last weekend I hooked the trailer to the truck and drove to SC to bring him back here to VA to live with me. I hated to seperate him and his 6 year old sister, but we feel it was for the best at this point. He as been enrolled in school and started this week and I am glad to report I have not had one issue with him here like he was having there. So in the short term all seems to be working, lets hope the long term is the same. I am glad that I get the chance of being a full time Dad again and happy that my fishing buddy is here. I still will be active and envolved in ny daughters life and will continue to travel down monthly to SC to visit and do stuff with her. I really hope I do not make a mistake and am able to be a great Dad to my kids.

Gary, I know from working beside you for several years that you are happy with this!! I know how much those kids mean to you, and I have nothing but total 100% respect for you as a father!!

You are a great dad and I'm sure he is very happy to be with you. I know you would never turn your back on your kids, more dads seperated from their kids from divorce or what ever, need to take example from you!!

    My congratulations, bud!!!

Can't agree more with all that's been said. Anyone that's ever spent any time with you knows how much you love your kids Gary. This should be a great opportunity for you to get back to doing things the way you want on a daily basis. Congratulations Marine!

You'll do fine. Get him a mountain bike (& helmet) and a life preserver and you are in business. Enjoy the time. As previously said, they grow up fast.

I have never met you before but reading your past couple posts I can tell that you really love your kids and I have great respect for you. I think it is very important on what you are doing and you are making the right decisions. Keep up the faith and your return will be good.

    Great deal Gary...

When I was 11 I was given the choice to live with my mom or my dad...I chose my dad. Nothing against my mom, but it was the best decision I ever made as young boy.
