    Stripping wax?

Not waxing strippers! What's a good cleanser for stripping old wax off the boat? Between the wax and the BBS the finish is starting to get cloudy.

    Re: Stripping wax? (billybass)

i use soft scrub to remove the old wax, (make sure you rinse very good, and easy on the soft scrub), then apply new coat of wax, then a coat of bass boat saver, i clean the hull evry 6 months. this was a tip that a friend gave me and seems to work very well. in addition this process only takes aboout 30-40 minutes...

    Bill,
NuHull is considered to be one of the best hull cleaners on the market. It has mild acids to remove anything on your hull but is guaranteed NOT to harm your gelcoat or fiberglass.

    Re: Stripping wax? (pete 1)

I've used Protec since it hit the market (as Pete linked above). On my textured interior, I use Fantastik and Lemon Pledge (as recommended by Darris Allison).

I like Bass Boat Saver as a quick detailer after fishing dirty water but I dont rely on it for protection.

As Pete says...Protec !!!!!! Champion recommended their products to me back in 1990. It's what I use..... They have a NuPaint moisturizer to remove dullness and then use the Sealant polish to seal and protect. No wax needed. Wonderful stuff and no hard work involved!

Body shops recommend washing with Dawn dish soap to remove wax. I would try that before anything else.

I hope your not serious. Car wash soap is what you need to be using.
