    Diawa Megaforce / Exceler reels

Hs any one used the megaforce baitcaster or the exceler spinning reels ??

They seem to have great reviews, and no one has the baitcasters in stock...anywhere !!

I am considering updating my equipment, and refuse to pay more than $100 for a reel, so these look to be a item to consider.

Looking for thoughts and experiences. All of my current equipment is Shimano, but the 15+ yr old variety. Still work, but don't have some features of the newer ones, and definitely need to be rebuilt for best function.

Re: Diawa Megaforce / Exceler reels (TRCM)

I bought a megaforce a few months ago for tx rig and jigs. Twitchen bar is nice, casts pretty good, and isn't that noise. I actually put my Quantum accurist reel in the megaforce box and put it on the shelf. Great reel for the price.
Wal-mart did have them here in Franklin, but sold out. Check a wal-mart, the price went up to $65.00 at wal-mart from $59.95. I got mine at BPS and at the time they had a ton of them. Was in there Monday and didn't have a one.

Daiwa has to be really happy with the Bassmaster mag comments...

I am a Daiwa fan, but went to BPS while they still had them (spinning in this case) and they were nice, but I went with US Reel instead...much nicer...IMHO

Walmart sells the Megaforce reels, the local one here as a few in stock. The Exceler baitcasting reels are good to go also...
