    Spinner bait storage?

What is everyone else using, both inside their boats, and outside in the garage or closets when not needed in the boat. Just got a big order of baits in and am sitting here trying to figure out the best way. Have not found the perfect way for me yet.

Chip....next time we fish check out my cooks to go system on the front lid of my boat. I would have thought you would have noticed it but maybe not. I hang all the baits from there and also store plastics on the rack as well.

Pegboard in the garage. I put the ones not in package...in snack size baggies and hang on hooks in the pegboard. Also have some hanging on a dowel placed on pegboard hooks. In the boat, I have em in worm bags...the Tackle Logic ones.

I need to get rid of about 50!

Lea, for some reason I think "my snack size baggies" are much larger than yours at your house. You probably use those little clear plastic ones for snacks.... my snack size baggies say "Hefty" on the outside!

Cooks, though I don't own one, is probably the best idea I have seen, before I order one or some, I just wanted to know if there was anything out there any better or maybe that worked a bit differently.

Some boaters worry about how much gear and tackle their pards bring.... Basshunter2006 has to worry about how much food and drink his partner will bring just to get through the day....

Let me see here.... 2.5lbs of leg quarters, 2lbs of fresh biscuit dough, 1 dozen eggs, half scrambled, half fried, 1 lb of mild pork sausage, 1 lb of Dougherty's carolina barbecue, and a 6 pack of Hostess snack cakes.... that will hold me over till about 10:00am Pat... how many cans of Vienna sausages did you bring? I wanna make sure I don't get to hungry while I'm fishin'......

Chip, don't laugh at my method for spinnerbait storage, it works for me. Yesterday I re-stocked my sparse supply of spinners and also purchased a med. size Calcutta plastic bait box. (smaller than the Planos I have) I found that if I removed every other divider, that I was left with 8 3"X4" spaces. Each space will hold 2 spinnerbaits. The small box fits into the side pocket of my Tackle bag

Calcutta box is just like the standard Plano (maybe "3700?") this box was just a 2/3 the regulat size

Ok got a funny story since you mentioned viennas....My boy last night has a train set with a logging sawmill that has these tiny little logs with it. Well Im sitting on the sofa and he comes over while Im typing on the laptop and drops one of these logs on the keyboard. Well first thing that comes to mind is "Oh no he didnt just drop a vienna on my keyboard".......Ok guess ya had to be there....but was my first though honestly. We keep a can or two in the cabinets round here....

    Re: Spinner bait storage? (Basshunter2006)

Before the vienna sausage hi jack attempt you guys were talking about spinner bait storage.

I currently use the plano spinner bait boxes. I have the organizers for the deck lids, but I just don't like the spinners hanging out in the air and eventually getting tarnished.

Tried the spinner bait bag from BPS for awhile. It has the plastic sheets with zippered pockets. Works OK, but the skirts get caught in the zippers and when it's cold outside the plastic sheets get really stiff.
