Xtreme Custom Aluminum Boats in Flordia????????????

Does anyone have any experience with these boats? They look nice online and are all made of either .125" 5086 plate aluminum or .190 5086 plate. Looking at a 16 foot stick steer with a 50HP for an elderly person, which sits low in the boat for safety. Really considering one of these boats.

Has anyone owned one or every looked at one in person?

I'm VERY close to making a far away purchase (sight unseen), so any help would be appreciated. There isn't much variety in these panfish type boats. Some people say the stick steers are a SUPER rough ride, but can be fixed with a Smooth Moves or Air Wave seat post.

I have not been in one of those boats in particular but have fished out of a few boats with a similar hull. The reason people say they are a rough ride is because the pilot position is so far forward compared to a typical bass or multispecies boat. The further forward you sit, the more you are going to be the object absorbing wave impacts. The stern is the most stable position in any boat under speed and the bow takes all of the impact from waves. It is physics and there is no good way to overcome that with a rig that size. A Smooth Move or Air Wave pedestal will help, but you will still feel it if there is much chop on the water, but it would be considerably worse with a standard pedestal. If you fish mostly calm water and small bayous and whatnot, a stick steer can be a great boat as you can maneuver quite easily in them.

I agree with the above statement my first boat was a stick steer it is great for running around when it is not blowing, also great because you can see trash if the lake is blown out. But when it is rough it will beat you to death just because you are in the front.
