Trim gauge on my Helix 9 G4N

I am experiencing an issue with the trim gauge on my Helix 9 G4N, which I have connected via NMEA 2k to my Yamaha SHO 200. I receive all the NMEA engine data except for the engine trim. When I start the engine, the trim information does not appear. However, when I turn the key off to stop the engine, the trim gauge displays the correct data for about 15 seconds before losing the connection.
I have disconnected the analog gauges from the engine and stored them neatly under the dash. My boat is a 2016 Skeeter SL210. I have connected the wires under the engine cowling to send the trim data through NMEA instead of to an analog gauge. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

I am having the exact same issue with my 225 SHO and a helix 12 G4. I have been unable to figure it out. I reconnected the analog gauge for now.
