Nice catch on the Phelix. There are not many in that area but there was a 10 HP club outside Houston that had several of them. Looks like one of those found it’s way to Lake Fork.

I need me a phelix to go along with ny Caracal. Im getting my Caracal too scratched and scuffed up forcing it up into trees and brush when the fish bury up in the heavy cover.

i think my dad had a phelix when I was super young. We were just talking about the BCB he had saturday. I remember him saying it was just under/right at 16'. I remember it had an 80HP merc on it. This would have been in the early 80's -- maybe 82-83?

That would have been a 15' 9" Phelix, rated for a 75 or 85 we believe. Those little boogers would run pretty strong.

The one in the Ike video is 17' and has a narrower beam. Those rated 25 HP max.

With minimum flow would a Phelix work on the White River below the dam to the shoal right before Stetson's?

It might, but why not a common flat bottom that will go below the shoal also.

I think it was 15'9 IIRC. I will see if I can find a picture of it sometime. It was a cool boat. dark brown/gold flake with white. Single console maybe as i dont exactly recall. I do remember the "thunderbolt ignition" decall and it was an 80. I dont remember how fast it would go but it sure seemed fast as a 5 year old. I distinctly remember the black background with the chrome logo.

True, but those dedicated WR boats are pricey I guess that just comes with the territory. A Supreme, Shawnee, Double XX, with say a 40-80 jet ain't cheap.

You don’t have to go above a 25 tiller and 42” bottom on the 20’ river boat.
