Ultrex i-pilot remote not pairing

I changed the batteries in my remote now it shows motor not found. I’ve tried pairing it multiple times and nada! Never had a problem with the remote before this.I’ve tried calling Minn Kota tech support but can never get anyone on the phone! Has anyone had this problem and resolved this issue? Thanks

Try disconnecting the power to the Ultrex, wait 5 minutes and then plug in, turn on and try again.

Have you ever done any updates? If none were done then in the grand scheme of things connectivity was and issue. Use your phone and snd the IP app and update the phone. There will also be an update for the remote.

Tried the battery disconnect, didn’t work. Yes I used my phone and did a update but didn’t see one for the remote,I’ll look again

When you doing update of the GPS module it automatically does the update for the remote. If your remote is off while you're doing the update then when you turn the remote on it will tell you that there is an update available. Otherwise you can go in the remote and check to see if an update is available. Usually when a remote will not pair with the GPS module it means that the revisions are at different levels. If revisions are the same level and it still does not pair then I would say you have a bad remote. You able to pair with your phone tells me this.

Well, I originally stated I was able to do an update via my phone evidently that never worked either. I took the head apart to check the wire connection which was fine and also checked the 3 amp fuse which was also good. Still can’t pair the remote. I’ve also called Minn Kota 3 times now, the 4 th time now I've been holding for over 30 minutes now. Minn Kota has never been this bad! ��Anyone have any ideas?

Pair was a big issue a few years ago and software was updated to fix that.
How do you know it did not update the troll motor?
How old is this Ultrex?
If you can pair your phone, but not the remote it could be the remote.

Finally was able to talk to someone, after we tried a few things it seems the remote went bad we are thinking. Looked back again on my phone and motor and remote are up to date but 2 different versions. Asked the tech guy if that made a difference he said no. So I buy a new remote or just use my phone when I’m fishing electric only lakes.
