Got out for just a few hours this morning. Went to a very small local lake. Very first cast with a KGB glide bait I caught a 5.2 pounder. Wish I could say that was the start of a flurry of fish, but only caught 3 the rest of the time. Two more on the glide and one on a wacky rigged senko. I’m pretty sure the bass around here are spawning, but I couldn’t see the nests. Water had a good 3 foot of visibility but I think the bass spawn a little deeper in this lake. Tried a few other baits but the glide seemed to be the ticket to getting bites today. I had three more bites on it that I didn’t hook up on. Not sure what the water temp was as I just didn’t look for some reason. I think in the next week or so the post spawn will be in full swing up in this area. Hope everyone else was able to get out and do a little fishing this weekend.

That’s one good first cast!! I haven’t had much luck with the glide bait this spring but it is a good bait!
