My friend wants to use my waypoints ???

We usually fish together as a team either boat depending on body of water so we both have all the same or mostly waypoints. He bought a new boat ,now he has a Humminbird and I have Lowrance how can we get the ones from my Lowrance into his bird???

download to sd card and have to convert file to one that humminbird accepts. use the link below to convert. i'm sure there are youtube videos on it. i only run lowrance so i'm not sure what format humminbird uses.

First of all you need to know which Humminbird model. The way waypoints are managed is different between some models.
Then you export your data as GPX to a memory card that is 32 GB or less.

Can't really answer the questions being asked, but I'll share a story about sharing way points with a team partner. My friend and I alternated boats in the team series we used to fish together. He didn't have the way points I had for one particular lake, so ..... not knowing how I could transfer the way points from my Lowrance to his Hummingbird, I had him follow me around in his boat, and had him set way points on his unit. It worked out pretty well for the up coming event.

Fast forward ....... we both also fish a single boaters circuit. We are fishing the lake I had him follow me around on. He drew a first flight number, I drew a second flight number. I head to my first spot, guess who is sitting on the way points he marked by following me around? Yeah .......

I didn't pull up and say wth ...... I had another way point within sight of the one he stopped on, so I went to it. Saw him put a couple of fish in the boat.

Anyhow .... we came to an understanding regarding way points either of us shared with the other. If we're fishing tournaments where we are competing against each other, we don't fish the way points we give each other, without asking first.

Good Luck with that! People lose their minds and integrity when it comes to tournaments....

well it seem to work as described we put an sd card in my unit exported my waypoints to it and we could acxtually change it to gpx to go into his, we will see if they work today, before we did that he imported what he had on his unit into mine he had found a lot of trees and sunken boat on a lake we fish and he had a lowrance then so they went right into mine ..lol
