I figured my customer service experience with LiTime may help people on here.
I needed to replace my lithium batteries because they did not have the power I needed for all day trolling in the winter. I did not have the money to purchase the higher priced lithium, so I went with LiTime. I ordered two 140aH batteries on Black Friday. I ordered them directly from LiTime.
This spring I had an issue with the state of charge not reading on the blue tooth function. Other than that, there were no issues with the batteries. I contacted LiTime customer service via e-mail with my issue. They asked for a lot of information, including pictures of my setup, and the manual for the charger I was using. We went back and forth for several days with them wanting more information. This was frustrating because their customer service is based in China, so they e-mail you in the middle of the night. This meant we could only exchange one e-mail per day due to me sleeping at night. Finally, they were satisfied that the issue was not on my end. They sent me prepaid packaging labels for FedEx. They asked that the batteries be sent back in all of the original packaging with all of the paperwork. Luckily, I had all of the paperwork, but not the packaging.
Just a note, FedEx, will only take lithium batteries at regional processing centers. I was lucky to have one about 30 minutes away, and the lady was nice enough to find old boxes and padding, so the packaging did not cost me anything. It took the batteries about a week to get to California. After a few days of no response, I reached out to them asking what was going on. They said they would send me new batteries.
After about another week, one battery showed up on my porch, even though I had sent two back. I e-mailed them again advising that I was owed another battery. It took a few days for them to get back with me, but finally my last battery showed up today.
Overall, the process took more than 20 e-mails and 41 days for me to have my batteries back. They took care of the warranty issue, but there were a lot of hoops to jump through, and it took a very long time. I was lucky that I sold my old batteries to a coworker for his camper, and he let me borrow them while I was dealing with this. Otherwise, it would have been a very long 41 days.
I am not recommending or pushing people away from LiTime. I just hope that this helps someone who may have questions about their customer service process.
