    Screen protectors

I've had a few over the years. None have been very impressive. Most seemed to make viewing worse due to glare. I do see a lot of people saying that they like the RMP tempered ones though. I have had about a million finger smudges on mine already so looking for feedback on these? Also as it pertains to Garmin if you run both?

I picked 3 for my graphs from Precision Sonar. Got the clear version of the Graph Glass and really like them..

I’ve added “clear” protectors and the glare is pretty bad.
I’ve added “anti-glare” protectors and the screen turns very dim.

there’s no winning. You either add protection and glare, or risk it and use the factory anti-glare coating.

i just deal with the glare, I don’t want to buy another 8612 over a missed hook set or goofed cast, if I can help it.

The glare can be mitigated if you can change the angle a few degrees up or down, left or right . If you can’t adjust your mount you would have to change your angle of view. Bob

I prefer the clear Precision Sonar Graph Glass screen protector over their anti-glare version, but I have to agree that it adds glare to the screen. I tried their anti-glare version and it turned my normally bright/crisp Apex screen dull and fuzzy. I literally hated it.

There are a few "mild anti-glare" screen protectors on Amazon, but they aren't tempered glass so they don't provide any impact protection. I tried one of those on a previous Solix I had at the helm and it seemed to be a better anti-glare solution. They provide scratch and fingerprint/waterdrop protection, but not impact protection.

I have tried them all I think, Rmp, Graph glass and some generic's off amazon.

ALL added glare. I don't run any.

I have only broke one graph screen since 2017 when I started running 5 12".

The one I broke was from a drop shot weight stuck on the tm and when I popped it up free it came straight down on a helix 12.

Were you able to get that repaired or compensated by insurance? Luckily I have not had that happen. Bob

    Graph glass for the win.

I have both the matte and the clear finish can’t say which I prefer better. Both have their positives
