    new 4 stroke break in

has it ever been determined if these new motors have a break in built into the ecu?..like the ecu dumbs down power output(retards timing or adjustes fuel map) until the 10 hr mark is logged by the ecu?

Don’t believe so. Read the break in directions in the top area best

No, nothing holds the engine back from making power during break-in. If the throttle isn't calibrated properly by the installing dealer, it will never reach full throttle. Also some hotfoots, mostly top loads, are not compatible if they were built before 2019.

Now, the engine will get stronger as it wears in and loosens up but not by a substantial amount.
