Power light on Terrova stays on when docked

Ok, two years ago my 2014 36V Terrova would not get power when deployed. I just worked rockers and it started. When I got home I lubed everything and has not been an issue. This year even when docked in stow position the system ready light comes on and foot pedal will power motor on when stowed. All I can think it is the reed switch some how. It looks like it makes contact with rod whether deployed or not. Any idea what's going on? I just pulled the plug for now but need to fix this.

Unplug the 2 wires on the power switch, the TM should be powered up when the switch wires are disconnected from the switch.
If you connect the power wires together that shuts off the TM.
Its backwards of what you would expect.
The OEM switch was troublesome but there is an upgraded waterproof replacement for it.
IIRC you need to have the TM deployed while checking it.

That model year does have a reed switch to shut power off whenever the motor is stored. There are two possibilities that could be wrong which are pretty easy to check. You can take a magnet and put it in front of the re-switch when the motor is stored and that should tell you whether or not the reed switch is working or not. Or you could have the magnet that sits on the steering motor could have come off or it could be out of alignment.

I did find a magnetic reed switch glued in to the plate on the right side where the lever you push in and down to deploy/stow the motor. I tried putting a magnet in front of the reed switch but nothing happened (light still on). I did see what looks like a small piece of metal, might be a magnet, imbedded in a tab that moves with the stow/deploy arm. I decided with a week long trip in two weeks I would take it in and pay the piper. If he says it is the board which I understand is no longer made, I will just unplug it on the trip and try to cut the wire and do further checks after the trip.
    Thanks for the guidance.

Their is a reed switch kit you can buy to see if that fixes the problem. Part number 2884019. It is a kit. Had instruction and connectors. It may not be the same size but it will work.

All fixed. I did take it in because I have a pending 10 day fishing trip. It was the stow reed switch. Parts and service were only $75. Sure glad it was not the control board. Thanks for the advice.
